Les roues Miche SWR Evo 50 x Massacan

Miche SWR Evo 50 x Massacan wheels

Come on, let's explain: Miche and I sat down for a good coffee (Italian of course) and agreed to create a wheelset that ticks all our boxes. The base is the SWR EVO 50 — a set of 50mm profile carbon wheels, tubeless ready, hand-assembled in Italy , no less. You know this: rigid, versatile, perfect for going heavy on the flat and not ridiculous on the bumps. But we allowed ourselves a little home improvement: instead of using Straight Pull spokes, we chose J-Bend spokes . Why? Because!

Massacan Subito Pronto

At Massacan, we've always wanted to give you total freedom: Choose your groupset (Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo or Microshift), your wheels, your peripherals and lots of other stuff... Each bike is a unique piece, hand-assembled to match its owner. But this freedom comes at a price: Time. Custom assembly takes a few weeks, and unfortunately longer, depending on the availability of components. And we know that sometimes, waiting is the hardest part. That's why we're launching the Subito Pronto program: A priority circuit for those who want a bike from the range ready quickly, without sacrificing quality or the Massacan identity....

Miche et la sécurité

Miche and security

On the road or on the trails, the search for pleasure is what motivates us. With the advent of disc brakes and large-section tubeless tires, the limits of cornering grip are constantly being pushed back. These technological advances are not without impact on security and the search for performance must not be at the expense of security. On the subject of security, for the San Vendemiano firm, nothing has been left to chance. In this slightly technical article, I'll explain why Miche wheels are considered to be among the safest wheels on the market.

Single or double chainring?

Rhalalalala! Broad topic. I'm not going to try to convince you that one solution is better than another. In my opinion, it all depends on what you are going to use your bike for and where you are going to put your wheels. Take Paula for example. Having been designed as a sporty Gravel, the field of application is extremely wide. You're going to roughly use adventure/bikepacking well loaded in luggage without worrying too much about the hourly average for all-road / road use in all weather and all conditions where performance will be a little more at the center of the...

Les pneus Gravel Hutchinson

Gravel Hutchinson tires

Hutchinson is, as its name does not suggest, a French brand. It was created in 1853 by an American, Hiram Hutchinson, who had just bought the vulcanization patent from Goodyear and who wanted to establish himself in France. As early as 1890, the first bicycle tires appeared. With more than a century of experience in the design and manufacturing of bicycle tires, Hutchinson is the only manufacturer that still manufactures its products in France. At Massacan, besides the History of cycling, we like to harness local talent and encourage short circuit economy. By getting closer to Hutchinson, we discovered a...

Miche Gravel Wheels Line-up

We, at Massacan absolutely love Miche components and wheels ! Why ? Because Miche has been producing quality components and wheels for many years. Of course, they have neither the marketing budget nor the visibility of the big players in the sector and they do not sponsor World Tour teams either. Where it counts though is in the know-how department. And here, Miche excels, with more than 100 years of experience. At Miche, every effort is done to keep the production in Italy for the vast majority of products. Speaking of production tools, Miche is not kidding. The San Vendemiano...

Paula for Geeks

If you come to this page it means you are a big geek and believe me, at Massacan we share the same passion 🫶. Another thing we like is to express ourselves, debate and share. I will try to present to you some elements which dictated certain technical choices applied to Paula. Now I must warn you. You know as well as we do, in the world of cycling there are dogmas and preconceived ideas, justified or not. For example, on the road, the subject of tire width and pressure has changed quite a bit over the last 30 years....
