With its geometry designed for fast riding, Scapada can make you smile on almost any terrain.
Hyper versatile, it adapts to all your desires and is available in a whole range of configurations.
Here, we present to you Matthieu’s bike.
The frame and fork
So this is a Scapada in size L in its iconic Graffiti Yellow color.
It is made in Italy from Dedacciai Fire Competion Light Aluminum tubes.
At the rear you can count on a tire clearance of up to 40 mm if you stay in single chainring, a little less if you are in double.
The bottom bracket is T47. Ideal for assembly and maintenance.
The fork is a full carbon Cyclocross model. The handling is truly exceptional.
It's a crit bike that's also comfortable going uphill.
The transmission
Initially, Matthieu rode it with a single chainring. He was able to try out this configuration on the 7 majors with it and, in terms of efficiency, he had nothing to complain about.
In terms of comfort, however, it was not ideal with a chain that crossed quite strongly during long climbing phases.
For this new configuration, his Scapada is now a double chainring.
This is a Shimano GRX825 Di2 group. The comfort of use is remarkable and the silence of operation is very appreciable.
The chainrings are 48 and 31 teeth and the cassette spacing is 11-36 teeth.
In terms of versatility, it's ideal for riding in the mountains with ease without getting stuck on the flat.
The wheels
These are the same wheels as on his Paula. The soon to be collector's item, Miche Graff Route.
With an internal width of 24mm and a profile of 36mm, they stand out as an excellent pair of wheels that do everything well .
They accept tires with a width of 32 to 50 mm without flinching.
Super tough, they are robust enough to withstand Gravel use.
We love these wheels!
On top, Matthieu installed 37 mm Vittoria Terreno Zero Tubules tires.
They are extremely easy to roll and are equally at home on the road or on rolling paths.
Peripherals
The stem is a Deda Superbox. We love it. The finish is impeccable and the look is as discreet as possible.
In addition, the integration of the brake hoses is super simple and clean.
The handlebar is a brand new model from FSA. It is the K-Wing AGX in carbon.
At the rear we find the matching FSA carbon seatpost and the very nice Selle Italia SLR saddle with titanium rails.
In conclusion
Matthew's Scapada has gone through several states.
Initially a mechanical single-chainring bike with road wheels, Matthieu's Scapada is now identified as an electronic double-chainring road bike with gravel wheels.
This is the beauty of this model that I would call " fluid-enjailer" . There is something for everyone.
Whatever your choice of assembly and your use, Scapada will comply and take you, quickly, to the summits!
Come on, who better than Matthew to tell you a few words about it:
